ACE Roles Up Its Sleeves

ACE is a mentoring program that provides Chicago-area high school students with opportunities to increase their awareness of careers in architecture, construction, and engineering. In June, Studio Talo helped ACE kick start its first annual design-build project. The project, led by ACE mentor Matt Snoap, gave Chicago high school students a chance to work with a real client in the community and to construct their design. This year’s project was a partnership between ACE and Ujima Community gardens…among a number of great industry sponsors. We helped facilitate the initial charrette with the high school students and couldn’t be prouder of the fruit…and vegetables of their efforts. Way to go ACE!
